Shhhhh! Don't Tell Anyone That...

I'M PREGNANT! It almost seems too good to be true. I still don't think it has fully set in. I should be about 18 days pregnant right now if you count from conception. We know that it is still very early and that this is considered a high risk pregnancy, but there was almost no way we could not tell everyone that knew what we have been going through. We have only told the immediate family, so if you are one of the few extended family who read here, please keep our secret for the next few months!

I can honestly say that I knew from the first few days after the procedure that I was pregnant. It wasn't any one thing that made me know, but a lot of little symptoms together that made me think so. The minute I was off of bed rest and was able to wear normal clothes, my pants did not fit! You might think this was from 2 days of sitting on my butt and doing nothing but eating, but I don't think so. My pants are still tight and I think I've gained a few pounds already.

Theoretically, I think I should be losing weight because I gave up all soda and sugary drinks over a month ago and have been eating so much more healthier than usual. It could all be in my head, but I don't think so. This also makes me think I might be carrying twins.

Other symptoms I have are just small, but all together they make sense. I've had some mild just pinching and cramping off and on, some lower backaches, a little nausea (mostly at night), and the exhaustion! I seem to be waking up much earlier and then I hit THE WALL at around 7-8 PM each night. It's like I just have to go to bed at that exact moment or I will die. All in all, the symptoms are pretty mild, but I just felt different and I just KNEW.

As you can imagine, we are both pretty excited. We know that this is still a high risk pregnancy and that a lot of things could go wrong, but we are staying positive and we will cross that bridge when we come to it. I just sincerely feel that this was supposed to happen now. We are in a good place in our lives all around and this is definitely that best time for something like this to happen.
Stay tuned for frequent updates and the continuation of our saga!
