A Perfect Summer Saturday

Today was the perfect summer Saturday for us! Em and I got up early (of course!) and had breakfast and Em spent the morning with Daddy while I went to a community yard sale. I found 8 outfits, a nursing cover, some blocks for Emmelyn and a fold-up booster chair for $28. Not too shabby!

Daddy took Em and Foster for a walk while I was gone and Em went right down for her morning nap without any problems. She is really getting used to taking naps in her crib and rarely ever gives us any grief when we put her down. By the time I got back from the yard sales Em was ready for lunch and her mid-morning nap. She napped for a few hours and then we headed out to the local kite festival.

Em, Daddy, and I had a great time checking out all of the great kites. Em played with her ball and sucked her thumb a lot too.

When we got home from the kite festival we decided to hang out in the backyard for a little wiggle time with Foster.

After our wiggle time outside it was time for Em's afternoon nap. I decided it was time for my afternoon nap too! An hour later we were all awake, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and ready to head out for an early dinner. Em was so exhausted from our day that she was a little cranky at dinner. She passed out in the car on the way home and went straight to bed. We all had a great time enjoying the day together and the warm weather!
