A Week of Holiday Firsts

Em has had a pretty big week this week. Mommy had to go out of town at the beginning of the week, so Grandma and Grandpa S. came to stay with Emmelyn. It was both Mommy and Emmelyn's first night without the other. We also opened Christmas presents while Grandma and Grandpa S. were visiting. Of course, the only thing Em cared about was ripping the paper to bits.

Given that this is Em's first Christmas, we also had to do the obligatory picture with Santa. This would be the one and only picture that Em in which Em has ever cried. Oh well, we will try again next year I guess!

Em also attended her first Christmas party at our friend's Morgan and Ryne's house. She saw her friend baby Garrett for the second time and met Emily for the first time. Em had a great time at the party and lasted until 8:30 PM. She loved all of the great food with salmon cakes being her favorite.

Em also showed off her ability to climb the stairs for the first time. I'm amazed that she was able to climb them so easily! We have them blocked off at home.
